Q: null Hi, I have an Outbound 46 with a displacement of 28,000 lbs and was wondering if I should go with a 3/4"" or 1"" mooring pendant. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Rush

A: 1"" - always better to overdo than underdo in these situations. I got mine for hurricane conditions in North Carolina.

Q: null What is the purpose of the light line spliced into the pendant?

A: Good question! When you put the eye on your cleat, the small line should be cleated over the pendant to prevent the pendant's eye from jumping off the cleat. It is a safety factor for the inevitable bumpy day on the mooring, or if the pendant goes slack, so it does not fall off the cleat.
