I used the ones that came with the gallonkit.

They work pretty well, however using the 5:1 scale they use more hardener than what is supplied. They are flexible enough to allow you to peel off any hardened material.

I use these for measuring amounts for small projects since I bought the 8 oz. Easy to read the markings on the cup. I like that they have the measurements for different ratios, 1:1, 2:1, etc.

Great for Resin

I use these pails for working with resin; dried resin, the leftovers from a project, pops and peels right out of the pails, pretty cleanly making it ready to be reused. They are steadier than other resin companies pails, which is important for getting resin out and ultimately reuse.

The best for small batches of very expensive product

Great for very small batches of two part varnishes and epoxy. You'll end up wasting a whole lot less of the product with a teeny batch.

Very Useful

Although I save a lot of yogurt containers, etc. these come in VERY handy lots of time. I use them for mixing epoxy mostly and have found that after the unused epoxy hardens it can be easily removed from the container so I get multiple use.

Q: I'm mixing a 5:1 ratio in the cups. But how do I know what lines to pour to?

2 Answers

A: That depends on how much end product you need. If you need 6 oz of epoxy, first fill the cup to the 1 oz line with hardener (I assume that it is 1 part hardener to 5 parts resin, and not the other way around. I am also assuming that it is epoxy that you are mixing), then fill the same cup to the 6 oz line with the resin. Mix thoroughly and apply. I hope this helps

Q: I just received my order and need to mix paint 1 to 1 ratio and just want to make sure I understand the ratio markings on the quart container that came with my order. There are two columns on the 1:1 scale, each going up to 4, so how does that work because the gradients in the second column are greater than those in the first column?
