Long-Lasting Cutter Blade

I purchased this cutter blade as a replacement as the original cutter blade, which is at LEAST six years old, was showing its age. My wife cuts only cotton fabric in her business, but there's LOTS of cutting. Sometimes she is using the EC cutter for eight hours a day. This is a great product.

Wore out the original set doing a rebuild , these replacements are just as good as the original that came with the tool.

Q: Per one of the customer reviews, are there instructions for replacing the blade part? what is cost of replacement blade unit?

A: The blade unit runs something less than $40, and instructions are included, Though I'll emphasize the need to disconnect the unit from a power source before attempting to remove or replace a blade unit.

Q: Can you purchase just the blades or do you have to purchase the blade assembly?

A: I have not seen availability for purchasing blades only, just the blade assembly. I purchased and found useful the EC cutter for cutting large volume of fabric. The blades are still as sharp as when I first used them even though cutting five layers of lightweight fabric at each cutting.
