Top Quality Aerosol Paint

This is an excellent top-quality product that gives great results assuming the prep work is done right. It works great for total coverage or touch-ups and is a perfect color-match for EZPoxy that was brushed or sprayed on. One can can do a Sunfish hull or deck and the hiding-power is great. Be sure to totally remove any wax, oil and dirt with Pettit Bio Blue as that will ensure great adhesion, even to unprimed sanded gel coat. I should mention that the black is a perfect paint for Mercury Outboards; with this paint and some decals your old motor will look like new again. Before you start be sure to review Pettit's excellent Product Data Sheets on their website; they do a great job of providing guidance there, and also on their YouTube channel.

Yes, I recommend this product.

EZSpray - Make My Day!

This is a very high-quality product, all-around. It has an excellent spray-pattern and plenty of solids for a professional finish. I've used this on several small projects and it's great for things like the racing daggerboard from my Sunfish. I gave it a couple of nice heavy coats and then wet sanded it to perfection. The used Mercury 30 that I bought had some serious paint issues on the cowl and after the necessary prep I sprayed with the the EZPoxy in Black. I gave it a nice heavy coat and then came back with the wet-dry and color-sanded the paint and then buffed it to a mirror finish. See my photos. The next project is an old rescue Sunfish hull that I'll spray-bomb.

Sunfish Cockpit Restoration - Top Results!

There is a reason that this product is more money than a can of ""ordinary"" spray paint and it has to do with quality and endurance. It is formulated for boats in a marine environment and constant UV. The quality of the valve is excellent and the paint covers and hides easily which means that the can goes a long way. It's excellent for touch-ups and smaller items, like the composite Sunfish daggerboard and rudder blade. It's the perfect product for a Sunfish Cockpit restoration. In a world of ""fast-drying"" aerosol paint this stuff takes a bit longer but the gloss and long-range durability it's well-worth the wait.

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: null Could I paint a vehicle with this after sanding the existing paint down?

3 Answers

A: Yes. As with any project you need to do a great prep starting with a wax remover and degreaser BEFORE you start sanding. This is a top-quality "enamel" type product and should give great results. There are lots of videos online to guide you: search for "Paint Car with Spray Bombs." I should mention that it color-sands and polishes out to an amazing gloss finish.

Q: null Are color samples EZ proxy available? It is difficult to get a sense of how close to a particular color is to my project using my phone or computer. A chip of the actual color of the product would enable me to place it and evaluate. Thanks

A: Go online and "Google" search for the color by name and look at the "Images." You'll probably find a lot of real-world examples to give you a better idea.

Q: null Will the spray work ok for a fiberglass RV shower base?

A: Hey Janet. Yes this product would work for a fiberglass shower base as long as it does not hold water for more than a few hours at a time.
