3M 07185 dust masks are N95 certified to provide 95% filtration efficiency against solid and liquid particles (except those containing oil). Unique Cool Flow exhale valve reduces heat, humidity, and moisture buildup inside the respirator, ideal for strenuous tasks and for keeping protective eyewear fog-free. M-shaped nose clip provides good seal against the wearer's face.

Use the 8511 for solids such as those from processing minerals, coal, iron ore, flour, and certain other substances. Liquid non-oil based particles from sprays that do not also emit harmful vapors.

Do Not Use for, Gases, vapors, including those present in paint spray operations, oil aerosols, asbestos, lead, arsenic, cadmium, methylenedianiline, or sandblasting. Aerosol concentrations that exceed 10 times the OSHA PEL or applicable regulations, whichever is lower. This respirator does not supply oxygen.

Great to use while sanding wood and non-metal items; not for painting or hazmat use. The seal tends to fail in high moisture conditions over time but the product is inexpensive enough to replace as needed.

Great job easy to breath

compaired to other filters this one fit my needs and works well with two head bands. I use it with blowing dustout of the shop, sanding, and sawing. Outside of boat work also great sanding drywall. Would hightly recommend this product.

Q: Can this mask be worned under a welder's helmet comfortably? Will it require filters? Marie

A: This is a filter mask, not a respirator with canisters to replace. The mask should be replaced often to insure proper filtration of particulates. It should fit under a welding helmet, and if so, it can be used with a helmet. quoteComfortablyquote will be determined by the amount of clearance your helmet allows. I use these filter masks regularly, and they work very well. I buy them by the box. I hope this helps you with your decision.

Q: should you wash these when they get dirty?

A: I use these for sawdust, and sometimes blow them out, from the inside, with a small-orifice quoteair-gunquote at about 100 psi, which works pretty well. Be mindful of what you are removing, however, and where it's going, and do ANY air blasting with care! I doubt they would respond to washing in any satisfactory manner. lester
