There is a difference in Marine fittings

Needed to replace hard fuel line on my genset with flexible. Bought hose barbs from the local hardware store only to find the barb is not long enough to put two clamps on, which is the required method. Ordered these and they are plenty long enough to put two clamps onto. Thanks Jamestown.

Q: Question on fuel filter bracket. Installing new on a restored skiff. Should I use 3/8__quote__ or 1/4__quote__ NPT bracket? 2012 ETEC 25 motor with portable 6gal tank.

A: Be sure to use teflon taoe on the pipe thresds but otherwise good product

Q: What is the O.D. of a 5/16 I.D.hose barb fitting?

A: I'm not sure,I was told to order it,but I think it's connect to the fuel tank, and the female hose barb fitting connects to it.
