Product Details

Buff Magic is a fiberglass reconditioner and de-oxidizer and also makes a great metal polish. It has been formulated to be user friendly whether buffing by machine or hand. A 22 ounce container will buff an entire 40 foot boat. Also available in 1 gallon pails (10 lb.).

Info & Guides

Note: Buff Magic pink formula is infused with jeweler's rouge, a red amorphous powder consisting of ferric oxide. Jeweler's rouge is used in polishing glass, metal, or gems, making the pink formula preferable for metal polishing applications. The pink formula is also safe for use on fiberglass applications. White Buff Magic is recommended for use on fiberglass only.

Yacht Brite recommends Pro Polish as a finish application.

Don't try anything else

I have tried almost everything on the market and i saw the boat show Ship Shape and they aired this product so i gave it a try on my 2001 328 Vista Four Winns. I could not believe my eyes. The quality of this is amazing and so easy to use. My boat looks new and my friend came over and said what are you using because i can see myself in your gel coat. I will never use anything other than Buff majic again. I am very happy with a product and added valve to my boat.

Q: null I have a one season old boat with both black and white finish. It's not oxidized at all, just water spots and a little haze. Should I or can I still use buff magic or is it for more severe surfaces? thanks, Keith

A: I would recommend a light polish like Totalboat Fiberglass Polish which is much lighter than Buff magic.

Q: null Why Do I have to apply a wax over the Buff Magic surface?

A: The wax helps to seal, maintain, and protect the buffed gel-coat surface from the suns rays and other weather one may encounter when boating or just stored. It also gives it a longer lasting shine and slicker surface. It is the only way to go. I used Pro Polish to seal my 1993 Cobalt 200 after sanding with 1200 and buffing with Buff Majic. It looks like new!

Q: null Buff magic the difference between white and pink?

2 Answers

A: There are very subtle differences between the Buff Magic white vs. pink. The pink breaks down a little further than the white, giving a bit more shine and depth. The pink was the original formula, and many original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) asked for a compound that would cut a little better, and they also wanted a white color for a cleaner appearance if any residue was left behind

Q: null I would like to use this product on my 5th wheel RV but I'm concerned that it might harm the decals on the trailer. Any thoughts on this? Thanks, Dennis T

A: It will not hurt any decals but if you are using a power buffer you will need to be careful not to burn the decals at high speeds.

Q: null i have a 1990 arriva thats has oxidation . do i need the pink or the white? thanks paul

A: The pink is what you want. I have a 2005 blue Sea Ray, it was very badly oxidized. The folks at the marina said I would never get it out. As they observed my progress their opinion changed but said the shine would not last. When Iarrived back to have my boat pulled last fall, they were amazed the shine lasted. I used a 7__quote__ polisher with a black pad. Good luck, Rick

Q: null Hi, I was wondering how well the buff magic brings back the color. I have a yellow boat that fades very quickly and I've been using a heavy rubbing compound on it, but I would like to try something else. I was also wondering if the pink formula of buff magic would work ok on the yellow boat or should I get white? Thanks

A: I have a 69 Chriscraft Commander and have used Buff Majic for the last three years. Best shine that I have gotten with any polish system including McGuires three step. Not only on the off-white but it also worked wonders on the blue waterline strip.
