Bomar 1000 Series low profile hatches feature heavy-duty anodized aluminum frames and a durable acrylic top for long life in marine environments. Hatches open at a variety of different angles and also have a vent position that locks in place to increase airflow at times when opening the hatch is not an option.
Quick acting tie down dogs keep Bomar hatches secure when closed, and heavy duty hinges provide smooth operation. The molded trim ring is attractive and smooth to eliminate snags with lines and sails.

Great update to older boat

Low Profile Hatches

This will be my 3rd time replacing the 10"" hatches on my boat. Theses hatches always crack at the hinge area after time. At [$] + this gets to be a bit over the top. Fix the problem Bomar! You've had this problem for a long time.

All but one Bomar hatch survives capsize

We flipped our PDQ 32 in the Pacific and the Bomar hatches all survived completely intact except for one cabin top hatch, which was lost in the righting of the boat on the beach. Can't fault these hatches. They are mega sturdy.

model-200306815 21*21 inches nebo low profile hatch is great opens easy closes easy great seal and locks easy- cost well its a boat- and i want to buy it 1 time and the best 1 time not a cheap one- cheap hatches just get you into trouble

Bowmar hatches are strong and well made. Installation can go from relatively easy to very difficult, depending on boat construction. This is not the fault of the hatch but how and where to install needs to be thought out. If installed correctly you will be happy.

Q: I have a Low profile Bowman Fwd Deck hatch on my 28' Luhrs . One of the Latch dogs keeps separating from the inside of the Acrylic lens it sticks to ?? What product do I use to "" Glue "" it back on ?? I have tried west system and generac Two part epoxy and it only holds for a few days then separates again ?? Thank you in advance for any recommendation. George B

A: Plexus MA 310 High Strength Plastic Adhesive should work well, be sure to clean the area very well first.

A: Yes, it comes with a molded trim ring. You would use a caulking sealant between the flange and the deck like Sikaflex 291.

A: We cut the opening size to be 20 1/4__quote__ x 20 1/4__quote__. they work great and seal well. No complaints.

A: yes you need trim. I used the original trim and replaced the hatch. inside trim.

A: Excellent quality product. Seals well and hinges and latches are great. Make sure to mount on level surface or these hatches will twist and leak.
