good bond

It bonded ABS plastic patches on my ABS Whitehall, after bond failure with West Gflex. I used this Sika before about 4 years ago, and the patches are still bonded.

the four wiring harness mounts had come loose from the underside of the deck. I used the 292 to re-bond them to the underside of the deck. It was easy to do and so far has held. I will know for sure by the end of next year. It is a heavy wiring harness.

VERY HAPPY!!!

I had a small leak coming from the chamber that breaches the hull, but could not pin point it. the leak would cause the automatic bilge to turn on two or three times during the day depending on how hard we played. I used this product to seal the seams of the chamber, and it worked great! we just got back from the lake from a very hard day of having fun, and the hull was dry!!!!

Q: I am bonding a hardwood (ash) mast step to the belly of a fibergalss canoe. Besides roughing up and cleaning both surfaces with denatured alcohol, should I use the Sika primer or any other primer? Many thanks, David

A: Yes, use Sika primer. it will achieve the best/incredible bond. Using no primer will give a moderate bond -----------------------------------------From: ""Jamestown Distributors""

Q: What Sikaflex product should I use to bed and seal a cutlass bearing holder that is bolted to the stern tube and will need to be removed periodically to eventually replace worn cutlass bearing. I am talking about the holder being sealed to the stern tube, not sealing the cutlass bearing into the bearing holder.? Thanks

A: I wish I could help but I don't have any experience using Sikaflex in an underwater application. I used it to bed some step plates to a cap rail and it has held up so far. I needed a product that would fill gaps and prevent __quote__wobbling__quote__ of the step plate since the cap rail had a slight bevel to it. I know products like 3M5200 are ok below the waterline but are a bear to remove down the road. I would look for a product that first and foremost is approved for below water line applications.
