Brass Escutcheon Pins feature a smooth shank with a large half-round head. Escutcheon pins are typically stouter than brads and wire nails. These pins are useful for many finish / decorative applications. We carry escutcheon pins in many sizes, and sell them by the pound.

Great supplier of what are becoming hard to find fastenings for saddle construction. We are a production shop requiring a little volume and no substitutions.

Shipping too expensive
Well, Mike Mills, i ended up cancelling this order before it was even shipped. I inquired about shipping costs, and whoever i talking to, a woman, said the pound of pins would be $5 to ship. Fine. Then the day of the shipping, a man, i forgot his name called to say that shipping would actually be $12 +. I asked why they couldn't ship priority mail, and he said that was the priority mail price. When i pointed out that the small flat rate priority mail box is $5.25, he said that the company doesn't use those boxes. So i cancelled, as with the shipping, the cost would be more than what i could have gotten the product for locally. So, the question is....why don't you use the flat rate boxes?

These pins were needed by a friend in Santiago, Chile, who owns a print and frame shop. She required them to attach small sawtooth hangers to frames.

Excellent price for hard to find item.

Solid brass escutcheon pins are very difficult to find in hardware stores. Brass plated tacks and pins will not work for my application. Your company provides this product at a reasonable price and fast shipping. I use a lot of these pins and plan to purchase from Jamestown Distributors again and will definitely recommend you to my friends.

This is a great deal and I definitely plan to purchase much more. I'm setting up a garden railroad and the hobby shop and specialty stores get outrageous prices for small quantities.

Used as rivets

I use these to make my own custom length rivets in jewelry and in other sculptural constructions. The main reason for choosing them is the fact that the solid brass will conform nicely with the riveting hammer.

A: 1/16"" will be too big of a hole it seems, you may want to try this with a scrap piece of copper with other drill sizes before you commit to your project.

Q: If this has been asked, I've missed seeing it. Is it possible to buy just 1/4 lb. or 1/2 lb. of these brass pins instead of a whole pound? I've need of a bunch, but not a __quote__pound-sized bunch__quote__. A pound would last me 2 lifetimes.
9 years ago4 Answers
A: I've got 4 lifetimes worth, two wire sizes. Happy to sell you 1/2 pound, 1/2 price-- Be careful not to buy non marine grade brass plated ones at the hardware store--

Q: Are these solid brass?
9 years ago5 Answers
A: The brass escutcheon nails usually have duller finish than the brass coated steel nails. Brass is softer and can be cut and flattened easier than the steel nails. If you buy from Jamestown, their brass nails are true brass. I use them in making Nantucket lightship style baskets.

Q: Why is the #18 x 11/4__quote__ brass escutcheon pin so expensive?
9 years ago2 Answers
A: Rates for brass escutcheon pins are generally expensive anywhere since brass is a precious metal and very useful in a marine environment. Jamestown Dist. gave me a very fair price when I bought mine from them.

Q: Are these made in the USA? Are the solid brass? Can they be driven into hardwood or do they need to be predrilled? Thanks
10 years ago9 Answers
A: The box doesn't say whether they are made in the US. I would suspect so as they are very well machined.
