Q: I have a boat with a 2"" hole, and the transom is 3"" thick. Will this product work for that? Thanks

A: The Atwood Scupper Valve would be a little bigger than your hole, but it may work. You would need to make sure the hole is above the waterline in this case as well.

A: Yes it will! We have an Aquasport 196 and have three in the new transom I built last summer and they work just great. Just make sure the hole is right size and the rubber not squeezed when installing the ring.

Q: DAVID V: my old scupper valve outside diameter 3 inch. 2 and 3/4 will it work ?

A: The 3 inch is slightly larger,if your replacing an old one and dont mind the larger ring marks around smaller scupper and fill the old screw holes with sealer it should work fine. The inside diameter of the scupper seal is 1 and 1/2 inch also,so keep in mind on how big your hole is and how perfect you want it covered.Generally a 1/4 in is quite workable with an item like that.

Q: Hi -- can you clarify the size of this scupper valve? Not sure what __quote__2 13/4__quote__ means... Please let me know if the measurement is across the outside edge or if it refers to the opening in the hull. Thanks.

A: 2 3/4 inch is the outside diameter of the rubber. The scupper valve opening size is about 1 inch. This is a standard scupper valve. The scupper valve flap is about 1 1/2 inch.
