I will buy and use the product again
I used it for a semi-off label project to fill topside gaps created on my 1931 Chris Craft due to moving it from (relatively humid) New York to (very dry) Colorado. It took a little experimentation to find a workable process. It was not as ""sandable"" as I might have liked and time will tell how the varnish holds. Product was slightly damaged in shipping but useable. I recommend better protecting the nozzle which had poked through a corner of the shipping box.

amazing stuff

Sikaflex 291 is amazing, I used it to make a seal on a 24'' steel irrigation valve cover, I followed the drying instructions by building a large humidor maintaining 50 to 80 percent humidity at 70-80 degrees. I had the opportunity to get water early so the dry time was five days, put cover on cranked it down irrigated, checked Sikaflex 291 seal...PERFECT. I was expecting the lower ring to cut into the new seal but to my surprise it didn't even dent it. The seal is 5/8x1/2'' thick, the best thing I saved over 100 bucks.

I'm in the marine industry and this product is standard in use, in Canada we can't get Mahogany coloured Sikaflex, so Jamestown is my go to place for it.

We used this product to adhere urethane-based foam to wood and carbon steel substrates. Bond is performing well. No issues.

Sikaflex 291 LOT
Used for bedding the recessed lap joints in Adirondack guideboat planking. The long open time (LOT) is a plus. Just be sure to remove the squeeze out while it is still flowable. Also get it off your hands immediately with a solvent (acetone works) or you will have to wear it off after it cures. Using latex gloves is a better (and safer) idea. Once cured, it is like soft rubber and seals as designed.

Not exactly what i wanted but it worked.

WE used the Sikaflex 291 LOT for caulking the deck seams on our antique runabout. The Sika brand is the preferred and the best product for the job. However the LOT isn't really what we wanted. The normal or quick cure would have been greatly preferred.

Truly ""Long Open Time""
This is equal to 4200 but with a slower cure rate. This allows for a partially used tube to be stored for up to 30 days. Other types curing solid in an opened tube in as little as one day. This does mean the use of the product might take up to a week or more to fully cure but for my project this was not a problem.
