I did not expect it to be so easy to use and it clened the 20 year old surfaces flawlessly.

Q: I watched the video, and it was said that the 205 is a wipe on then wipe off product. What is the timing? Do you wipe it on, wait 10 minutes and wipe off and apply primer or do you wipe it on and wipe off right away and then wait 10 minutes before applying the primer? Thanks.

A: Hi I used the 205 and it is so volatile that it doesn't stay wet with it for long. Don't know about primer? I had previously painted my aluminum window frames with a 2 part zinc chromate primer and then I wiped on the 205, waited a couple of minutes until it was dry and then used the 296 sealant to seal the window glass to the aluminum frame. I seems to work ok and with masking does a neat job. It wasn't clear to me what the 205 does. It seems more like a cleaner but sikaflex called for its use so I used it.

Q: Really, after spending 21bucks for a tube of uv seka-flex, why do I need to buy another expensive component to bed the arch to my deck??? seems a bit over the top, does seka have doubts about the properties of their product, seems its not an issue with 3m

A: Why? Because it's CHEMISTRY, that's why. Sika makes incredible products for very specific applications, whereas 3M5200and 4200 are general purpose marine adhesive sealants. Perhaps the sSika is overkill for your project?

A: I beleive so. I called Sika and asked their tech support guys who were very helpful. Perhaps you should do that as well because my memory for product numbers is limited to non-existent.
