Q: null Can this system be used with a vacuum flash toiilet?

1 Answer

A: It is essentially just a holding tank until you activate it so I don't see why a Vacuflush would not work, however, I don't know what the holding tank requirements are for a Vaculflush so you should probably reach out to the manufacturer for more info. Here's a link to the Electro San installation guide from the JD website. https://doc.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/pdfs/Raritan/raritan_electro_scan_installation_and_maintenance.pdf It includes contact info for Raritan Tech support.

Q: null why does the toilet have to be so close to the unit ?

1 Answer

A: The waste flows through th system somewhat passively. No pumps are involved other than what is at the head. I on the Chesapeake bay am still not allowed to discharge legally. This defeats the purpose I intended for the unit Lynn

A: System needs salt to function. I just add mortons. The limited use and low salinity waters I travel in do not warrant injection system. Lynn

Q: null can an MC SYSTEM be integrted with an existing holding tank to anticipate passage through a no dishcarge zone?

A: We did not use the system in this manner but would be concerned about the holding tank being higher than the Lectra San unit causing back flow Into the Lectra San and/or toilet.

A: Sounds like there is not enough salt in the water for the cycle to complete. Does he have a salt tank? If not, he may need one. Getting the salt mixture right makes all the difference. Sent from my iPad

Q: null CAN THIS BE USED IN FRESH WATER,ALSO CAN YOU DISCHARGE ANYWHERE,THANKS BILL?

1 Answer

A: Read the promo sheet, Raritan talks about a Salt Feeder System for use in Fresh or Brackish water, they have as an available option. Also Raritan markets this as a Type 1 Marine Sanitation Device, so it should be ok to discharge anywhere. That said, I would always check local regulations prior to use.
