Product Details

Fiberglass cloth tape is made of twisted strands of fiberglass that are woven at right angles to one another. Cloth has the highest glass-to-resin ratio and strength of all fiberglass materials.

Fiberglass tape is usually a narrow, cloth strip with woven edges that prevent unraveling. Use this tape for reinforcing seams and corners, and over epoxy fillets on plywood stitch and glue boats. 8.7 oz/Yd.

Nice quality fiberglass tape

I used this 2"" tape on the edge joints of a new marine plywood deck, seated under an existing toerail. The tape is nicely rolled, and the stitched edge holds together well. Very pliable and absorbed the epoxy with minimal squeegee use. As with all tape, the ends will unravel if overworked, so spread the resin in and let it do its thing.

I used this fiberglass tape to reinforce the perimeter of some plywood bench seats for my small aluminum boat. The tape saved me from having to cut strips from a large sheet.

A: Yes! This tape works for bow backing and between the layers, when using smooth on epoxy. Be sure to use the firehose press, as this method will remove all bubbles from the epoxy.

Q: does the fiberglass tape have a stickie side like tape????

A: yes, I am aware. We have our own adhesive...I just need to know how much you have in stock, and how much I can get here at my location in Houston, TX by this Thursday. Also, if you can give a quantity discount. I need over 1000 rolls of this material. I'm sure you don't have that much, but if the price is right I will be happy to take what you do have. Please advise
