I would buy this product again

The heat gun worked well, wrapped two large boats. The gun worked perfectly and is robust. The case, as others mentioned, is very poor.

Stopped Working After 10 Hours of Use

The unit worked pretty well last year, the first season I owned it, in which I shrink wrapped a kayak and two jet skis. This year it worked for again for the kayak, but failed to light the next weekend when I needed to wrap my two jet skis. I switched the propane tanks to no effect, checked the burner for blockages - non found; checked the igniter - sparking as it should. The valve adjusted the flow as always, but the gas valve may be the issue, as the sound of the gas isn't quite right. FInally, the case is well laid out be extremely fragile. One bump against a door jam and the whole case was sprung out of kilter. Don't buy it.

Good value

Out of the case this is a great value. I have borrowed a friend's shrink fast gun in the past and this works just as well for less than half the cost.

The shrink wrap gun preformed as well as the higher priced guns[have used shrinkfast 900 in the past]. Not built as rugged, but if you're not a constant user this item is a good value.

Nice Product Worth The Price

This gun was very easy to use and with the protective heat shield at the tip very safe to prevent wrap melt through and possibly burns from the tip. The provided CD was very effective learning tool that got me up and running within 15 to 20 minutes. I installed an access door in the shrink wrap for the boat this past weekend. Took only 10 minutes, so simple. Seriously considering purchasing the extension tip to wrap the boat myself next fall.

Q: null Rapid Shrink 100 - worked well on first day used and not the next. The gun will ignite but will not maintain a flame for more than 1-2 seconds. The regulator is adjusted as per instructions. I can hear gas flowing when trigger is squeezed. Any suggestions. This is a new heat gun.

Q: null For little touch up areas can you use a regular Milwaukee Heat Gun?

A: I don't know how hot a Milwaukee Heat Gun gets. The Rapid Shrink 100 is 100,000 BTU. We use that one as a backup for our 150,000 BTU gun in case it breaks during the boat wrapping season.
