Nobody else carries stuff like this
You're just about the only outfit around where I can reliably find things like this. Thanks for carrying them, and other fasteners suitable for old wooden boats. I refastened the entire hull of my 41' fifty-five year-old sailboat with bronze fasteners from Jamestown, from large carriage bolts to copper rivets to bronze screws.

Q: null Is this 5/8-11 Silicon Bronze Jam Nut the standard 3/8__quote__ in height? If not what is the height?
13 years ago3 Answers
A: I'm not sure the exact thickness, but it is much thinner than a normal hex nut. It is used in conjunction with a normal hex nut on your prop shaft. Two hex nuts would be to much and one is not enough. Expensive but was perfect for my needs. Hope this helps.

Q: null Is the over all height for this nut the standard .446__quote__?

A: Actually the height of the nut is under .25 of an inch. The two nuts jammed together would be around your .446 inch..
